Where Is Your Focus?
Mark 4:24-25
In Mark 4:24-25, Jesus tells His
apostles a parable of the measure, "The amount you measure out is the amount you
will be given and more besides; for the man who has will be given more; from
the man who has not, even what he has will be taken away."
Wow, that seems pretty harsh! Of
course, that might be true if the Jesus was talking about materials possessions;
but He isn't.

In these two verses, Jesus is
talking about your focus. When we put our focus on materials things, what "faith
focus" we have diminishes, causing our faith to decrease and our values to slip.
Yet, when we focus on God and allow Him to take care of the things happening in
our lives, our faith and our faith focus grows.
If you genuinely seek God in all
His glory, you will find that you "want" to seek God even more! If you stop
seeking, even if you believe you are a faithful Christian, your focus on God
will ebb and the world will take prominence.
So, perhaps you might wish to
actively seek God or increase your efforts. It's never too late!
